Dr Burhan Nasim BDS (Glasgow)
Principal Dentist

Dr Burhan Nasim completed his dental degree and graduated from Glasgow University in 2004. Prior to entering general dental practice, Burhan spent two years in postgraduate hospital training where he advanced his skills and gained further qualifications. He attained his MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and has worked in the Maxillofacial Unit at the Southern General Hospital and the departments of Oral Surgery, Public Health and Restorative Dentistry at Glasgow Dental Hospital, where he was a Senior House Officer.
Burhan soon developed a keen interest in restoring patients’ smiles, especially the replacement of missing teeth using implants. He has completed advanced implant training at one of the most recognisable and sought after institutions in the United Kingdom. In addition to this, spending hundreds of hours of postgraduate training with the very best implant dentists in the world has ensured that his patients receive the highest standards of care.
Burhan is married with two active young sons who keep him occupied when he is not working.
Burhan enjoys going to the gym and is a keen footballer for which he has many awards. He is also a keen traveller and most recently has been to Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. He has also undertaken a tour of USA where he has visited both the east and west coasts, and of Europe where he visited Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain.
Dr Saleem Ali BDS (Birmingham)

Dr Saleem Ali graduated from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 2000.
After initially working in the Midlands, he returned to his home city of Glasgow in 2003, where he continues to offer the highest standard of care to his patients. Saleem has undertaken postgraduate training at the Eastman Dental Institute which is part of the University College London. He completed the course’s Certificate of Restorative Dentistry in 2007 which involved a year long study into all aspects of general dentistry. This programme is taught by the top specialists in their fields.
Saleem pays close attention to detail and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and orthodontics. He is a certified 6 month smiles and Inman aligner provider and can also offer clear aligner treatment.
Away from work Saleem enjoys playing football. cycling, running and generally keeping fit. He tries to fit in as many of the above activities as possible in between helping to look after his three very ‘energetic’ young children!
Manveer Gill
Associate Dentist

Manveer joined our team in 2015 as our associate dentist. She graduated from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2009 with first class honours in dental technology, then went onto Glasgow University to complete her degree in dentistry in 2014.
She has a particular interest in oral surgery and denture work. She also presents a lecture in removable prosthodontics annually to newly qualified dentists passing on her wisdom as both technician and dentist.
Manveer has completed post graduate training in facial aesthetics. Carrying out anti wrinkle treatment, dermal fillers and anti-ageing/skincare treatments.
Outside of work Manveer stays busy running around after her two children.
Dr Claire Black BDS
Associate Dentist

Dr Claire Black graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2007 and has subsequently completed many courses to ensure her patients receive the highest standard of care. In 2009 she attained the post-graduate qualification MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and most recently completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Endodontology. In addition, Dr Black is currently undertaking an MSc in Endodontics with the University of Chester.
Dr Black’s areas of special interest are Root Treatment, Short Term Orthodontics including Invisalign clear aligners and teeth whitening. She enjoys getting to know families, putting people at ease and building strong and trusting relationships with her patients.
Outside of dentistry she is kept busy with her two young daughters and enjoys running, cycling and yoga….which she’ll be happy to chat about to keep your mind off being in the chair!
Shagufta Kauser
Associate Dentist

Dr Shagufta Kauser graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2000 and moved to Glasgow in 2003. She has many years of experience working as a General Dental Practitioner and joined Kings Park Dental in 2017.
Shagufta keeps up to date by regularly attending courses in order to provide both high quality treatment and the best care for her patients. Her relaxed and caring manner gives her the ability to connect with patients and put them at ease. Her friendly approach allows her to manage anxious patients and children successfully.
Shagufta provides a wide range of treatments under the NHS and Privately. She has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry such as bonding, whitening and tooth coloured fillings.
Outside of dentistry, Shagufta is married and is kept busy with her children. She enjoys hill walking, reading and baking.
Mia Mortimer

Louis Mossom
Regional Practice Manager
Louis joined the Dental Clinics in early 2022 as our Regional Practice Manager. He began his career in management within the retail industry. However he aspired to work in health care to acquire new skills and pursue a new challenge. On occasion you will find Louis at reception assisting patients.
Previously Louis worked for Marks & Spencer’s and Morrisons where he gained experience in managerial roles. Louis manages both our Kings Park and Broomfield sites alongside the principal dentists to ensure the patient journey in our practices is a first class experience. Louis is available at all times during practice opening hours to help patients and assist with any enquiries.
Louis enjoys being part of the Dental Clinics team and assisting patients throughout their smile transformation journey. Outside of work Louis enjoys spending weekends with friends and family, going out for food and going on holidays!
Dayna Sheldon
Head Nurse

Dayna has been at the practice since 2017 and has very recently acquired the role as Head Nurse.
As well as this new role, Dayna is sedation qualified, a main receptionist and dabbles with the structures of aesthetic dentistry such as creating splints and tooth whitening trays. She has a keen interest for impression taking and is hoping to add this to her list of capabilities within the surgery. She has also carried out an online course for Invisalign which has taken off at the practice within the last few months.
Dayna is very interested in radiography and is looking to start a course in the coming year to progress with this within the scope of practice.
Dayna is a team player and helps with the training of the new members of staff both within surgery and at reception, she enjoys overseeing the girls’ progress and achieving the goals and targets that they both set together as well as watching them develop into competent chairside nurses.
Dayna finds it important to take a few weeks out of the year to go visit her dad and sister who live in Australia. She also enjoys spending quiet weekends with her mum and the dogs and spending nights out with friends.
Dayna has very much enjoyed her journey throughout the last 5 years in the dental profession and cannot wait to see what lies ahead for her.
Shona McClure
Receptionist
Shona joined The Dental Clinics in March 2022 and is our main receptionist. She spends most of her time in our Kings Park practice however she enjoys covering Broomfield on occasion too! Shona began her career in retail where she worked as a manager for Marks and Spencer for 12 years. She then decided retail was no longer for her and entered the world of dental industry.
Shona enjoys working alongside her colleagues to arrange appointments, answer phone calls and help our patients’ with general enquiries. Shona is also enjoying the new challenge and is learning everyday about the dental industry. When she is outside of work, Shona enjoys spending time with her mum, gran and best friend Julie.
Hannah Johnston

Hannah started dental nursing as an apprentice at Dental Clinics in 2017. Since qualifying in 2019, she has worked between both clinics in Kings Park and Broomfield.
She enjoys working in surgery and being part of patients’ smile transformation.
In her spare time she enjoys holidays, hiking and walking her dog.
Eryn Diver

Eryn joined the practice in August 2021 as a trainee dental nurse and shortly after qualified here with us June 2022. Eryn enjoys every aspect of her role and is eager to explore more options for continuous learning within. outside of work Eryn enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as walking her dogs and watching sports.
Kelsey Jacovelli
Trainee Dental nurse
Kelsey joined the practice in 2022 as a trainee dental nurse and is currently working towards gaining her qualification. She has taken to the role with great interest and is enjoying each step of the way. Outside of work Kelsey enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Erin is a trainee dental nurse in our Kings Park practice. She started in September 2022. Erin decided to take a career path in dental nursing because she enjoys meeting new people everyday and loves learning new things. In her spare time she enjoys going out with friends

Dr Adil Safdar

Dr Adil Safdar is an experienced graduate from the University of Glasgow, Scotland. During his training as an undergraduate he treated patients from various parts of Scotland gaining important experience related to his profession.
Adil has also worked as a trainer for newly graduated dentists; assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge in both practical and theoretical aspects of dentistry. Furthermore, his postgraduate studies have given him a strong insight and sound knowledge base related to both NHS and Private treatment modalities.
Adil can perform a wide range of treatments including short term orthodontics to straighten teeth, place dental implants to fill gaps, routine dental care such as fillings, scale and polish etc.
Outside of dentistry Adil enjoys travelling around the world to explore different cultures, spending time with family and keeping fit with activities such as football and going to the gym.
Sabina Borcea

Dr Sabina Borcea is a graduate of University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” Bucharest and qualified as a dentist in 2010 . She has gained experience working in various practices throughout Scotland since 2011 focusing both on NHS and private treatment. Sabina has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry such as short-term orthodontic treatment to straighten teeth and also smile make-overs such as teeth re-shaping and gap closures. She likes to make her patients happy and gets a real sense of satisfaction when they are delighted with their new smiles. She is passionate about learning new skills and continually developing herself as a dentist. Outside working hours, Sabina enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling and learning new languages.

Courtney Kennedy
Head Nurse

Courtney joined our team in February 2019 as a trainee dental nurse and shortly after gained her SVQ in Dental Nursing. Courtney was recently appointed to one of our Clinical Lead roles. She is a valued member of the team and works between both reception and surgery. She is competent in all aspects of dental nursing.
Courtney has been a mentor for trainee dental nurses who are now qualified at the practice. She has a great interest in dental laboratory work and enjoys making splints, retainers and whitening trays.
Courtney is keen to continue progressing in dentistry and is hoping to complete a course in implantology in the coming months
In her spare time Courtney enjoys spending time with friends, travelling and going to concerts.
Pauline Mossom
Receptionist
Pauline joined The Dental clinic in April 2023, as our main receptionist within the Broomfield clinic. Having worked in retail for 10 Year’s, Pauline was looking for a complete career change. The opportunity within The Dental Clinics allows Pauline to transfer key management skills to her new role.
This role allows a new chapter of learning and continued development. Pauline enjoys travelling abroad and spending time with her family and two small dogs.
Patrycja Wojtala

Patrycja, our dental nurse joined Broomfield Dental in November 2020. Before joining our team, Patrycja gained her HNC dental nurse qualification in college 2019. Patrycja enjoys meeting and treating our patients and loves working as part of the team. You can meet Patrycja in surgery and at the reception. She has a keen interest in every aspect of dentistry. Patrycja is hoping to complete a sedation and phlebotomy course to gain more experience in the coming months. Outside of work Patrycja spends most of her time with her two young girls and with friends.
Macy Kennedy
Trainee Dental Nurse
Macy joined the Dental Clinics in August 2022. After leaving school, Macy was looking for a rewarding career and somewhere she could develop new skills, so she followed her big sister Courtney into dental nursing. She joined us as our most recent trainee dental nurse and is doing very well within her role. In her spare time Macy enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Sophie Vergoz
Trainee Dental Nurse
Sophie is a trainee dental nurse in our Kings Park and Bloomfield dental practices. She started in March 2023, Sophie is training to be a dental nurse as she loves to be on her feet all day working hard and meeting and talking to new people. In her spare time she does competitive cheerleading, and is competing in the all star worlds in Florida May 2023.
